Classes are 1 hour and run for a 12 week session. Strathearn community league member cost is $120, non-member cost is $144 (credit card), or drop in for $15 per class (cash only).

This yoga class is a gentle flow class. We will focus on connecting our breath with movement and exploring our physical being in its entirety. The posture sequence will change slightly every week, depending on the needs of the students. This class is suitable for all levels of practitioners, who are looking for balance, strength, flexibility, and overall well being. For any questions, please email

My teaching is soft and accepting. I teach to the individual, addressing each student and their unique experience. I believe that yoga asana (postures) are a tool to help students to explore and accept their physical, mental, and energetic realities. Yoga postures should not be painful and we should work within our limits to help ourselves grow. 

When I started practicing yoga in 2004, I had just completed my Bachelor of Arts Degree at U of A and I was fortunate to be able to devote my life to my practice. I practiced morning mysore yoga (ashtanga yoga) daily at the Yoga Loft with Rameen Peyrow until my first trip to Northern India in 2007, where I continued my daily practice and study in hatha yoga, yin yoga, and meditation. Back in Edmonton, I completed a 200 hour RYS ashtanga yoga teacher training at the Yoga Loft in 2008. I began teaching yin yoga and Ashtanga yoga while continuing my practice. I went back to India in 2009 where I was able to continue my studies. In 2010 I completed a 500 hour RYS Maya yoga teachers training in Maui, Hawaii with Nikki Doan and Eddie Modestini and also completed a 200 hour RYS Sattva yoga training with Rameen Peyrow. 

In 2011 my first daughter was born, in 2013 my son, and in 2015 another daughter. My practice has greatly shifted. I no longer have the space to practice alone for hours a day. My practice has moved off of my yoga mat and into my life… reminding me to breathe and stay patient and grounded (when I can!) throughout the day, no matter what kind of challenges life is throwing at me. Becoming a mother has helped me to live my yoga and to have greater empathy for everyone around me.
