The new Strathearn Community Hall was made possible with the support of people like you. If you’d like to make a tax deductible donation to the hall, scroll to the bottom of this page.

Our Hall is located at 9511-90 St, and it’s a building we’re all be able to be proud of. Designed from the ground up to meet the unique needs and vision of our community, it’s a place to meet your neighbours, enjoy activities, learn a new skill, relax with friends, or just admire as you walk by.

Capacity

The function room can seat up to 75 people (depending on the seating arrangement chosen), maximum standing capacity is 120 people

Kitchen

Servery-type kitchen with a single sink with sprayer, fridge / freezer, dual wall oven, microwave, toaster, 40 cup coffee urns (2), drip coffeemakers (2), and electric griddles (2).

The kitchen pass-thru allows you to serve directly into the main hall.

The kitchen is stocked with a variety of plates, cutlery and serving dishes.

Audio System

The Strathearn Community hall has a suite of professional quality audio equipment: use microphones, play your own audio, or connect your band to our system and mix audio for your show. Additional fee & deposit required.

  • Connect your phone or audio device (3.5mm audio jack required)

  • Play a CD or USB with Mp3 Audio files

  • Use an online music streaming service

  • Use audio output from a DVD or other digital projection

  • Mix up to 12 audio input sources into up to 8 output channels

Our audio system includes one wireless and one wired microphone with stand and two ElectroVoice built in powered speakers at the front of the hall, all wired to our Mackie DL1608 digital mixing board. The hall has 8 XLR inputs at front of house (in-wall), 4 optional DI boxes (to accept quarter inch inputs), and 6 Aux Send outputs (quarter inch) on the mixing board allowing up to 8 powered speakers in total.

 

Projector System

Our professional quality data projector is bright enough to be used even with the lights on, and is linked to a multi format media player. Additional fee & deposit required.

  • Connect your laptop or device (HDMI jack required)

  • Play Blu-Ray, DVD, or CD Audio

  • Connect a USB stick or burned CD / DVD with MP4 video, MP3 and WMA audio, or a JPG image slideshow

 

Show Lights

Set and control the mood for your event using our ten production quality show lights, all controlled from our built in lighting panel. Use our colour wash lights to illuminate the room from above in any colour or changing sequence, set the floor alblaze with twin spotlights, or bathe front of house with shimmering multicoloured wash from our front of house truss lights.

We’re programmed preset scenes into our lighting control panel - just press the button to change the look of the room. Additional fee & deposit required.

  • Wash the hall in your corporate colours for a meeting, press conference, staff party or team celebration

  • Light up your stage two high output stage spotlights that can be aimed individually from the floor, or set to move, strobe, and change colour automatically

  • Wash the ceiling in any colour, or sequence of changing colours with our four truss wash lights

  • Illuminate the front of house in solid, smooth cycling or colour changing sequence that responds to your music

  • A selection of black, white, & multicolored tablecloths (Additional Fee Applies)

Rental Details

  • Minimum hourly rental is 3 hours

  • Half Day is either 8am-4pm or 4pm-midnight

  • Set-up and clean-up time must be allowed within your rental. We can provide cleaning service at an additional fee

  • Discounts may be available for multiple bookings (multi-day and/or recurring events)

  • Payment is by Credit card or cheque

  • Rentals are not confirmed until the reservation deposit has been paid and the rental contract signed

  • Event insurance is required for all rentals —more info can be found here.

  • An example of the forms we need from your insurer can be found here.

  • Events with liquor must have an appropriate liquor license issued by AGLC.
